What were your thoughts on the 2023 season?
Starting the 2023 season after winning the OBA’s the previous year was high for the team with a lot of
expectations that came with it. Games were tightly played, not always translating in wins. The team
became younger and with that came growing pains with not being able to close out games; however
they were competitive in all games and continued to gain confidence.
What are your thoughts and expectations on the 2024 season?
The expectations for this coming season are to continue to improve, with a younger team with a year of
experience. I expect the team to be more competitive.
Thoughts on your coaching and pitching staff?
The coaching staff the Anchors have are a dedicated hard working group of guys, with Aaron McInnis as the field manager knowing how to handle his players both physically and mentally, Chris Ciolfi third base coach and infield/outfield coach, Matt Granitto first base/pitching coach, and Keegan Atack bench coach and strength/conditioning coach bring knowledge of baseball. I have every bit of confidence in this coaching staff.
What does the team look like compared to last year? Significant changes?
I expect our pitching to be the strongest pitching staff in the league without a doubt. With the veteran presents of Luke Edwards, Justin Vescio-West, with our younger pitchers having another year of experience pitching in the league will only make our pitching staff stronger.
